Is This You?
You have plenty of exercises, but you are not always clear about what your players are meant to learn from them.
You watch matches and notice problems, but struggle to turn those moments into training.
You want your sessions to look and feel like football without simply letting players play.
You find yourself giving more instructions because you are unsure how else to help.
You leave training wondering whether the session actually transferred to the game.
YOU DO NOT NEED MORE DRILLS.
YOU NEED A CLEARER WAY TO SEE, DESIGN AND COACH THE GAME.
“DAVID haS a gift for taking complex ideas and making them much simpler and easier to process and understand.”
— CASEY SCHAFER
WHAT YOU’ll LEARN
See the game more clearly
Use simple observation frameworks to recognize the interactions, decisions and problems that matter.

Start with a real moment from football and build training that recreates its pressure, information and possibilities.
Guide without taking over
Communicate in ways that direct player attention, build confidence and help players find adaptable solutions.
Reflect, refine and improve
Assess what players experienced, whether the learning transferred and what you should change next time.
The goal is not to give you a collection of answers. It is to give you a clearer process for making your own coaching decisions.

“My ability to observe situations in the game and critically design a practice around them has improved.”

-
Understand how players learn, simplify what you observe and identify the football situations that matter.
You don’t need to control everything. You just need to shape what they see. -
Turn real game moments into representative training with pressure, decisions and interaction.
You’re not just handing players solutions. You’re crafting environments where better answers can emerge.
-
Direct attention, communicate with purpose and reflect on whether learning transfers to the match.
Methods matter. Design matters. But in the end, it’s your voice that players will remember.

David Garcia – UEFA A Coach | Coach Educator | Founder of It’s Just a Sport
I’m David Garcia, a UEFA A licensed coach and coach educator with over 15 years of experience in both Spain and the U.S. I’ve coached at clubs like C.E. Europa and Albolote F.C., worked with the Andalusian Futbol Federation, TOVO Academy, Colorado Rapids, and U.S. Soccer—and I’ve spent my career bridging the gap between elite ideas and grassroots environments.
Since 2015, I’ve been designing methods that simplify the game without dumbing it down. My goal has always been the same: help players develop faster by learning through the game itself.
This course distills the best of what I’ve learned—through trial, failure, joy, and thousands of hours on the field—into a practical, no-fluff system that’s ready for you to apply.
If you’ve ever felt unsure about what to coach, how to design a session, or how to help your players actually understand the game… I made this for you.
